Peleman Life in Color Starter Bundle: Book Binding Machine, 13 Covers & Paper

If you are curious rather than committed, start here. The Life in Color Starter Bundle is a complete bookbinding kit for beginners. It pairs the Unibind 60 Pro thermal binding machine, an easy-to-use scrapbook binding machine, with a small, deliberately mixed set of materials: two landscape soft-touch pastel hardcover albums in Terracotta and Butter Yellow, one landscape theme album in Floral Bloom, ten clear flex covers (spine size varies) for lighter projects, a full ream of portrait 32 lb lay-flat photo paper and a half ream of landscape.

The Life in Color covers are rigid and finished with a smooth soft-touch laminate, the kind of velvety surface that makes people ask where you had it printed. Inside, a durable steel thermal binding spine holds up to 40 letter-size sheets, which becomes as many as 80 pages when you print on both sides, and the lay-flat paper means spreads open completely instead of curving away at the fold. The result is hardcover book binding at home, without a print shop.

The mix is the point. You can try a proper handmade photo album, a patterned keepsake scrapbook album and a stack of everyday bound documents without buying three separate kits first. The process is short: print your pages on any home printer, slide them into a cover, and the machine finishes the book in about a minute. There is no hole punching, no coils and no wire, so there is very little to learn and nothing to snag or wear out. It's the simplest way to start scrapbook binding at home, whether your first project is a memory book, a family photo album or a bound journal.
